Jason Jenkins: Miami Dolphins Community Icon gone too soon.

Few individuals touched so many people in such positive ways than Jason Jenkins. Much respect to the Miami Dolphins Owner Steven Ross & President/CEO Tom Garfinkel for enabling his talents to flourish in a tough town and in the recent tough times.

Jenkins from Miami Hosts Tony Lesesne and Jeff Fox

Jason Jenkins, the Dolphins’ senior vice president of communications and community affairs, died Saturday, the team announced at halftime of its preseason game against the Eagles. He was 47. In addition to working for the Dolphins, he was also a board member for the Anti-Defamation League Florida, Breakthrough Miami, Dolphins Challenge Cancer, Pro Sports Assembly, Urban League of Broward County, Women of Tomorrow, and YWCA Miami. Jenkins was far more crucial than his job title. He became one of the most beloved, respected and impactful executives in the NFL, the Miami Dolphins and and in the region with a razor-sharp and efficient team that ran like clockwork from our point of view.

Recognized as the right hand man for Dolphins owner Steve Ross, (seen pictured above) Jenkins joined the Miami Dolphins in 2009 and was named Senior Vice President of Communications and Community Affairs in 2015. Jenkins oversees the organization's front-facing brands, including media outreach, public relations, social media and community efforts for the Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium and Formula One Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix.

"We were blessed to be involved with Jenkins" said Tony Lesesne, Co-Founder of LMG Entertainment, producers of this channel and other media outlets across south Florida. Lesesne added that he was grateful to be exposed to the likes of Jenkins of the last 14 years. "He lifted people, brought us together, and made us understand the full power and benefits of having a top-flight NFL franchise that can impact the community it calls home."

From Jason Taylor to Mike McDaniel, and Stephen Ross to a thousand others who were directly impacted by the life of Jason Jenkins, a sadness has enveloped South Florida. On Saturday night, we all learned of the death of Jason Jenkins. A shock to our hearts and a loss that many can’t fathom. The web show above is dedicated to Jenkins and pays respects to him and his family and shares stories of his kindness and compassion. We also thank Mr Jeff Fox for joining our show and making it so powerful and heartfelt.
