The highly anticipated 72nd annual Emmy Awards will be presented on September 20th this year. Only the shows that are aired between June 1st, 2019 and May 31st 2020 are eligible to contend. This year the ever humorous and likable Jimmy Kimmel will host the awards with a virtual program. The COVID 19 Pandemic has changed the way we live and work, so this virtual presentation will be unique, but by all accounts no less interesting. One thing we know for sure, Americans love great television, and not even this pandemic will stop the show from going on.
Rachel Brosnahan as the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel aka Midge, delivers a masterful fast-talking, high energy performance.
In a time when women's roles were more relegated to the home, Midge takes the bold step onto the gritty and often unforgiving comedy stage to make fun of her life, family, and the experiences of the late 1950's woman striving to find her voice.
The supporting cast of comedic veterans, like Marin Hinkle, Tony Shalhoub, and supporting actor Alex Borstein brings lots of cultural dynamics and humor to this life story. Twenty Emmy nominations are a clear indication that this story resonates with audiences. If you haven't gotten your binge on, there's still time to watch the celebrated projects nominated this year.

I'M part of the crowd that is eagerly waiting the 72nd Emmy Awards. Covid-19 has impacted the television, movie industry and the arts. Hats off to everyone behind the scenes directing and making every sections of productions work. Bringing this to us virtual has to be an awesome task. Imagine producing elements that will be live and possible scenes shot beforehand. It will definitely be a big night.
