No Way Home is shaping up to be the biggest Spider-Man spectacle we've ever seen.
After our friendly neighborhood Spidey gets his secret identity outed after the events of "Far from Home", we see Peter Parker seek the help of Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange to alter reality itself to magically make the world forget his secret identity. This all leads to a whole mess of multiverse jumping chaos and highly anticipated appearances from previous villains from the original Spiderman films like arch-nemesis Doctor Octopus, played by Alfred Molina, reprising his role from Spider-Man 2, but 17 years later. One of the Green Goblin’s bombs also appears with Willem Dafoe’s unmistakable and sinister laugh in the background.
Regardless of the final lineup of supervillains, Spider-Man will be facing his biggest battles in No Way Home; perhaps even having the first appearance of the Sinister Six and Rogues Gallery. For the record, The Sinister Six are a group of supervillains drawn from Spider-Man's list of enemies. The original incarnation of the group was organized by Doctor Octopus and consisted of himself, Vulture, Electro, Mysterio, Sandman and Kraven the Hunter.
No Way Home is shaping up to complete Peter Parker's arc that’s been developing since appearing in Captain America: Civil War. After Homecoming and Far From Home, Peter showed signs of carving his own legacy as a hero and taking what Iron Man taught him and applying it to his life as Spider-Man.
As No Way Home's source material sets up, this is the perfect opportunity for Peter to overcome his self-doubt by looking to two alternate versions of himself. But in this case, it wouldn’t be Peter’s past and future selves he encounters, but rather his alternate universe variants, as played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
We can expect some incredible moments, dynamic sequences, and great character moments in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It very well could become among the most memorable of all Spidey films because of the action-packed characters and emotional journey we will likely take with Peter. He will certainly be tested and we know how humor plays so much into the story lines of past films. Stay tuned to Hollywood Spotlight on Infocus TV for all things film and tv.
